Sylvania McDaniel

Prior to his role as supplier diversity executive, McDaniel served for four years as a Supply Chain Supervisor at Ameren, where he supervised contract personnel in the execution of reclamation asset recovery, forklift maintenance and tool repair and crane operations.

McDaniel began at Ameren with over 18 years of circulation, operations and marketing experience. As an operations and circulation market manager at Dow Jones and Company, McDaniel managed all operations functions including facilities, P&L, administration, marketing channels, POS and design and completion of strategic projects. He also managed logistics, distribution, rate negotiations, trade shows, contractors, retailers and wholesalers.

McDaniel, a St. Louis native, earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from St. Louis University and an Advanced Supply Chain Management Certificate from St. Louis University’s John Cook School of Business. He also has earned a Certificate in Lean Six Sigma and Black Belt Six Sigma from Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania.

McDaniel is a Veteran of the United States Air Force.

Currently, McDaniel is an active member of the St. Louis Council of Construction Consumers Diversity Committee.
